Brentwood Athletics News:
This was an exciting week for the boys and girls track team competing at the Division One Championships which was held at Connetquot High School. The teams combined had 5 individual Division I Champions and Champion relay team, Boy’s Team 1st place to Malik Sainnoval - Long Jump, Tobias Nelson - 400m Hurdles, Mohammad Abubakar - 400m dash and Maxime Etienne 4th place finish in the high jump. 1st place 4 X 400 relay team of Dwayne Kidd, Thaddeus Nelson, Tobias Nelson and Mohammad Abubakar. The boys team placed 5th overall. Girl’s Team Alexia Douglas 1st 100 meters, and 2nd 200 meters, Imani McGhee 2nd in the long jump, 3rd in 100 meters and 4th in triple jump and Raven Payne 3rd in 400m Hurdles. The 4X100 relay team of Raven Payne, Natasha Almonacy, Alexia Douglas and Imani McGhee relay placed 3rd and 4 X 400 relay team of Natasha Almonacy, Shiseido Robinson, Emani Johnson and Raven Payne 4th place finish. The girls team placed sixth overall. Great Job and congratulations!

Brentwood Bands and Orchestras Perform at the NYSSMA Major Organization Festival!
A   total of 17 Secondary Bands and Orchestras performed at the NYSSMA Major Organization Festival last week. All of our ensembles performed well and received impressive assessment scores. The most advanced HS ensembles received the highest possible Gold and Gold with Distinction scores on the highest Level 5 and 6 music. Bravo to our outstanding Middle School, Freshman Center and High School student musicians and their teachers.

Brentwood Baseball Picks up an EXCITING Win over perennial Power Patchogue-Medford. It took 8 strong innings of excellent defense and outstanding pitching and your Brentwood Baseball team pulled out an exciting win. That was a Brentwood win like in the "old days" said home plate umpire Joe Canniazarro "Excellent pitching and playing defense". With 2 outs John Heyder walk off game winning single drove in Kelvin Mancebo in the bottom of the 8th to win the game for the Indians. Sophomore Joe Maselli pitched a complete game allowing only two hits, walking two and striking out three. Coach LoCova in his excitement said "I couldn't be prouder of my team, we battle every inning of every game, this is a testament of the boys hard work throughout the year"
